Outcome of SDT Hearing

This notification relates to a Decision to prosecute before the Solicitors Disciplinary Tribunal. This is an independent Tribunal which reaches its own decision after considering all the evidence, including any evidence put forward by the Respondent. The Tribunal had certified that there was a case to answer.

The matter was heard on 9 – 16 March 2021.  

Mr. Gray was Struck Off the Roll.

The SDT’s Order and Findings are subject to an Appeal to the High Court (Administrative Court) by Mr. Gray dated 21 May 2021. The Order remains in force pending the High Court’s decision on the Appeal.  

The appeal was heard at the High Court on the 1 and 2 February 2022 before Mr Justice Linden.

Mr Gray’s appeal against the Tribunal’s findings and sanction were dismissed.
