Outcome of SDT Hearing

This notification relates to a Decision to prosecute before the Solicitors Disciplinary Tribunal. This is an independent Tribunal which reaches its own decision after considering all the evidence, including any evidence put forward by the Respondent. The Tribunal had certified that there was a case to answer.

The matter was heard on 12 and 13 May 2020.  

The Tribunal ordered that, as from 13 May 2020, except in accordance with Law Society permission:-

• No solicitor shall employ or remunerate, in connection with his practice as a solicitor Miss Taylor;
• No employee of a solicitor shall employ or remunerate, in connection with the solicitor’s practice the said Miss Taylor;
• No recognised body shall employ or remunerate the said  Miss Taylor;
• No manager or employee of a recognised body shall employ or remunerate the said  Miss Taylor in connection with the business of that body;
• No recognised body or manager or employee of such a body shall permit the said Miss Taylor to be a manager of the body;
• No recognised body or manager or employee of such a body shall permit the said Miss Taylor to have an interest in the body.
