Bryn Zancudi was involved in a legal practice (as defined by section 43 (1A) of the Solicitors Act 1974) but is not a solicitor and has been convicted of a criminal offence which is such that in the opinion of the SRA it would be undesirable for him to be involved in a legal practice in any of the ways described in the order below.
Order
To make a S43 Order with immediate effect from 10 February 2020:
- No solicitor shall employ or remunerate him in connection with his/her practice as a solicitor;
- No employee of a solicitor shall employ or remunerate him in connection with the solicitor's practice;
- No recognised body shall employ or remunerate him;
- No manager or employee of a recognised body shall employ or remunerate him in connection with the business of that body
- No recognised body or manager or employee of such a body shall permit him to be a manager of the body; and
- No recognised body or manager or employee of such a body shall permit him to have an interest in the body
Except in accordance with a Society permission.
Reasons/basis
Bryn Zancudi was employed as the office manager at Goodswens Solicitors from 10 December 2013 until his resignation on 22 November 2017.
During his employment at the firm, he was investigated with regards to money being taken from a client, a Rosemary Charlton. The matter was referred to the police and Mr Zancudi admitted to taking the sum of £62,349.26.
On 22 May 2018, Bryn Zancudi was convicted at Teesside Magistrates Court of taking cash between 2 April 2017 and the 21 November 2017, to the value of £62,349.26 belonging to Rosemary Charlton contrary to sections 1(1) and 7 of the Theft Act 1968. He was sentenced on 3 August 2018 at Teesside Crown Court to two years imprisonment including paying a victim’s surcharge of £140.

Mr Zancudi's contract of employment terminated on 22 November 2017. He is not currently employed in legal services.
