Between 15 February 2021 and 15 May 2021, Mohammed Khalil was employed as a solicitor by HRS Family Law Solicitors whose head office is at 204A Wolverhampton Street, Dudley, West Midlands, DY1 1ED. He was employed without the SRA’s prior written approval in breach of a condition on his practising certificate.
It was found that Mr Khalil’s conduct breached Principle 2 of the SRA Principles (2019) and paragraph 7.2 of the Code of Conduct for Solicitors, RELs and RFLs (as set out below).
SRA Principle 2: You act in a way that upholds public trust and confidence in the solicitors' profession and in legal services provided by authorised persons.
Paragraph 7.2: You are able to justify your decisions and actions in order to demonstrate compliance with your obligations under the SRA's regulatory arrangements.
Mr Khalil was ordered to pay a £1,300 financial penalty and the SRA’s costs of £300 in investigating this matter.
