This notification relates to a Decision to prosecute before the Solicitors Disciplinary Tribunal. This is an independent Tribunal which will reach its own decision after considering all the evidence, including any evidence put forward by the Solicitor. The Tribunal has certified that there is a case to answer.

The matter was heard on 28 and 29 September 2006.

Mr Obi was Struck Off the Roll of Solicitors.

Mr Obi successfully appealed this Decision and the matter was remitted back to the Solicitors Disciplinary Tribunal for a re-hearing.

On 26 October 2010 the matter was heard again and the Tribunal ordered that Mr Obi still be Struck Off the Roll of Solicitors.

Mr Obi appealed this Decision in the Administrative Court on 2 November 2012 where it was ordered that the matter be remitted back to the Solicitors Disciplinary Tribunal.

On 28 January 2013 the matter was heard again and the Tribunal ordered that Mr Obi still be Struck Off the Roll of Solicitors.

Mr Obi's Appeal against this sanction was heard on 13 November 2013. The Appeal was dismissed.
