A person who is or was involved in legal practice but is not a solicitor
SECTION 43 SOLICITORS ACT 1974 (AS AMENDED)
Alexandru Major was employed as a self-employed consultant, working as a police station representative for O'Keeffe Solicitors in 2015. During his consultancy, he was found to have accepted money £9,000 into his personal bank account from a client's wife under false pretences. His conduct was found to be dishonest.
Alexandru Major's consultancy was terminated in 2015. His current form of employment is unknown.
Finding
Alexandru Major who is or was involved in a legal practice ( as defined by section 43(1A) of the Solicitors Act 1974) but is not a solicitor, has occasioned or been a party to, with or without the connivance if a solicitor, an act or default in relation to a legal practice which involved conduct on his part of such a nature that in the opinion of the Society it would be undesirable for him to be involved in a legal practice in all of the ways set out below.
