Warning: A website for 'Conor Solicitors' falsely claiming to be for a regulated law firm
5 May 2026
A website at https://conorsolicitors.co.uk/ is operating, falsely claiming to be for a regulated law firm called 'Conor Solicitors'.
What is the scam?
A website at https://conorsolicitors.co.uk/ is operating, seemingly marketing legal services and falsely claiming to be for a law firm called 'Conor Solicitors'.
The SRA does not authorise or regulate a firm of solicitors called 'Conor Solicitors'.
The website provides a general contact email address of 'info@conorsolicitors.co.uk' and multiple other email address for supposed individuals using the domain '@conorsolicitors.co.uk'. The website also provides a contact telephone number of '+447853740512' and a postal address of 26 Throgmorton Street, London, EC2N 2AN.
The website clones parts of the website of a genuine firm of solicitors (see below), including misusing the genuine Companies House registration number of that firm and photographs of some of the genuine solicitors and individuals working at that firm.
Any business or transaction through 'Conor Solicitors', or through the above website, telephone number, or any email using the domain '@conorsolicitors.co.uk', is not undertaken by a firm or solicitor authorised and regulated by the SRA.
Is there a genuine firm or person?
A H Brooks Solicitors Limited (trading as A H Brooks & Co Solicitors) is a genuine firm of solicitors authorised by the SRA.
A H Brooks Solicitors Limited has a genuine Companies House registration number of 07744374 and its genuine website address is https://ahbrooks.co.uk/
The genuine firm has confirmed that neither the firm itself, nor any of the staff and solicitors whose photographs have been misused, have any genuine connection to 'Conor Solicitors' or the website referred to in the above alert.
What should I do?
When a firm's or individual's identity has been copied exactly (or cloned), due diligence is necessary. If you receive correspondence claiming to be from the above firm(s) or individual(s), or information of a similar nature to that described, you should conduct your own due diligence by checking the authenticity of the correspondence by contacting the law firm directly by reliable and established means. You can contact the SRA to find out if individuals or firms are regulated and authorised by the SRA and verify an individual's or firm's practising details. Other verification methods, such as checking public records (e.g. telephone directories and company records) may be required in other circumstances.
