Warning: Correspondence misusing the name of Rosenblatt Law Limited

12 June 2025

Correspondence has been sent to a member of the public falsely claiming to be from 'Andy Herix' of Rosenblatt Law Limited, regarding a supposed inheritance matter.

What is the scam?

The SRA has been informed that a member of the public has received correspondence from an individual called 'Andy Herix', misusing the name and address of a genuine firm of solicitors (see below).

The correspondence seen by the SRA informs the recipient of their entitlement to inherited funds in the sum of US$171m held in a Trust. Various payments were requested to facilitate the transfer of funds.

The SRA does not authorise or regulate a solicitor by the name of 'Andy Herix'.

Is there a genuine firm or person?

The SRA authorises and regulates a firm of solicitors called Rosenblatt Law Limited. Its head office address is 3 New Street Square, London, EC4A 3BF. It uses the email domain '@rosenblatt.law'.

Rosenblatt Law Limited has confirmed it has no connection to the above correspondence.

What should I do?

When a firm's or individual's identity has been copied exactly (or cloned), due diligence is necessary. If you receive correspondence claiming to be from the above firm(s) or individual(s), or information of a similar nature to that described, you should conduct your own due diligence by checking the authenticity of the correspondence by contacting the law firm directly by reliable and established means. You can contact the SRA to find out if individuals or firms are regulated and authorised by the SRA and verify an individual's or firm's practising details. Other verification methods, such as checking public records (e.g. telephone directories and company records) may be required in other circumstances.
