Important updates to SARs guidance

The UK Financial Intelligence Unit (UKFIU) has published the three new Suspicious Activity Report (SAR) Best Practice guidance documents; this replaces all previous guidance. The new documents relate to SARs, defence against money laundering requests (DAML) and defence against terrorist financing requests under (DATF).

• Chapter 1: Using the SAR Portal
• Chapter 2: Submitting a SAR
• Chapter 3: Understanding DAMLs and DATFs

The updated guidance, together will all other UKFIU products, is available on the National Crime Agency website.

This replaces all previous UKFIU guidance, which has now been withdrawn and should be disregarded. Please delete all previous versions from your internal systems and update any links.
