Warning: Website misusing the names and SRA numbers of genuine solicitors

6 August 2026

A website operating and misusing the name and SRA number of genuine solicitors.

What is the scam?

A website is operating and misusing the names and details of genuine solicitors (see details below). The website address is 'arianalysisservices.com'.

This website provides the names and SRA numbers of four genuine solicitors as well as a false photograph of the solicitors and other false details such as their date of birth, education and professional experience.

Any business or transaction through the website 'arianalysisservices.com' is not undertaken by a firm or individual authorised and regulated by the SRA.

Is there a genuine firm or person?

The SRA authorises and regulates genuine solicitors called Gregory Hughes (SRA number 176475), Jamie Baer Swan (SRA number 489894), James Stone (SRA number 653034) and Anita Lennon (SRA number 489602).

Gregory Hughes, Jamie Baer Swan, Anita Lennon and James Stone have confirmed they have no connection to the website referred to above.

What should I do?

When a firm's or individual's identity has been copied exactly (or cloned), due diligence is necessary. If you receive correspondence claiming to be from the above firm(s) or individual(s), or information of a similar nature to that described, you should conduct your own due diligence by checking the authenticity of the correspondence by contacting the law firm directly by reliable and established means. You can contact the SRA to find out if individuals or firms are regulated and authorised by the SRA and verify an individual's or firm's practising details. Other verification methods, such as checking public records (e.g. telephone directories and company records) may be required in other circumstances.
