What is the scam?
The SRA has seen an email that was sent to a member of the public purporting to be from a genuine solicitor's firm (see below) to assist with accessing a supposed cryptocurrency account. The email encourages the recipient to click on a link to complete an identification verification process in order to unblock an account in order to access funds.
The SRA has also seen a document which was sent as part of the scam bearing the name of the genuine firm.
