Two Blogger accounts have been set up misusing the firm name Pennington Manches Cooper LLP.

What is the scam?

The SRA has been informed that two accounts have been set up on the website 'blogger.com' misusing the name of a genuine firm (see details below).

The accounts are:

  • https://penningtonsmanchescooper.blogspot.com/
  • https://penningtonsmanchescooperllp.blogspot.com/

Any business or transaction through the above Blogspot accounts is not undertaken by a firm or individual authorised or regulated by the SRA.

Is there a genuine firm or person?

The SRA authorises and regulates a genuine firm of solicitors called Pennington Manches Cooper LLP (SRA ID number 419867).

The genuine firm Pennington Manches Cooper LLP has confirmed that it does not have any connection to the Blogger accounts referred to in the alert above.

What should I do?
