Warning: Document and email misusing the name of Wesley Gryk Solicitors LLP

A document and email have been sent in relation to a supposed UK work visa application and offer of employment misusing the name of 'Wesley Gryk Solicitors LLP' in relation to a supposed employment offer.

What is the scam?

The SRA has seen an email from 'Attorney McDougal Gregor' of 'Wesley Gryk Solicitors LLP' in connection with a supposed UK work visa application and offer of employment. The document and email provide the address of 'Ashwood House, Ellen Street, Oldham, OL9 6QR, United Kingdom' and the email address 'Mcdougalgregor@consultant.com'.

The SRA does not authorise or regulate an individual called 'McDougal Gregor'.

Any business or transaction through the address Ashwood House, Ellen Street, Oldham, OL9 6QR, United Kingdom and the email address 'Mcdougalgregor@consultant.com' are not undertaken by a firm or individual authorised and regulated by the SRA.

Is there a genuine firm or person?

The SRA does authorise and regulate a genuine law firm called Wesley Gryk Solicitors LLP (SRA ID number 446311). The firm's genuine address is 3rd Floor, 115 Southwark Street, London, SE1 0JF and its email address is contact@gryklaw.com.

The genuine firm of Gryk Solicitors LLP has confirmed it has no connection to the email or document detailed in the above alert.

What should I do?
