Outcome of SDT Hearing
This notification relates to a Decision to prosecute before the Solicitors Disciplinary Tribunal. This is an independent Tribunal which reaches its own decision after considering all the evidence, including any evidence put forward by the Respondent. The Tribunal had certified that there was a case to answer.
On 3 July 2025 the SDT considered and approved an Agreed Outcome.
Ms Radcliffe was suspended from the Roll of Solicitors for a period of 12 months. Upon expiry of the fixed term of suspension, she shall be subject to the following conditions:
- She may not practise as a sole practitioner or sole manager or sole owner of an authorised or recognised body
- She may not be a partner or member of a Limited Liability Partnership (LLP), Legal Disciplinary Practice (LDP) or Alternative Business Structure (ABS) or other authorised or recognised body
- She may not be a Compliance Officer for Legal Practice or a Compliance Officer for Finance and Administration
- She may not hold client money
- She may not be a signatory on any client account
- She may not work as a solicitor other than in employment approved by the SRA

Reasons/basis
- The Panel was satisfied that grounds for intervention existed under paragraph 1(1)(c) of Schedule 1 to the Solicitors Act 1974 (as amended) namely that Elizabeth Jane Radcliffe had failed to comply with the rules made under section 32 of the Solicitors Act 1974 (as amended).
- The Panel was satisfied that grounds for intervention existed under paragraph 1(1)(m) of Schedule 1 to the Solicitors Act 1974 (as amended) namely it was necessary to intervene to protect the interests of clients (or former or potential clients) of Mrs Radcliffe, or the interests of the beneficiaries of any trust which Mrs Radcliffe is or was a trustee.
