Kings Law Solicitors Limited has been granted permission under section 41 of the Solicitors Act 1974 to employ Rahand Raza, subject to the following conditions:
- Mr Raza is at all times supervised by Surinder Dosanjh.
- Mr Raza’s employment is limited to that as described in:
- the grounds of application dated 14 June 2021 and amended on 7 September 2021
- job description dated 20 September 2021.
- Mr Raza shall not have any responsibility for or be involved in the training or supervision of any other employee at Kings Law Solicitors Limited.
- Mr Raza may only conduct interviews with clients or take instructions from clients under the direct supervision of Surinder Dosanjh.
- Mr Raza may not act as a translator or interpreter.
- Mr Raza must not be held out as a solicitor. Mr Raza’s status as a non-solicitor must be made clear to clients.
- Mr Raza does not have access to any office or client account, is not a signatory to any office or client account and does not have any responsibility for the firm’s accounting functions.
- The supervision arrangements and job description may not be varied without our prior written approval.
- This approval will lapse if Mr Raza’s employment with the firm is terminated.
- This approval and the conditions attached to it are subject to review at the absolute discretion of the SRA.

Reasons/basis
Rahand Raza was struck off the roll of solicitors on 27 February 2020. In accordance with section 41 of the Solicitors Act 1974, any solicitor wishing to employ or remunerate him in connection with their practise as a solicitor must obtain the SRA’s approval. The SRA is satisfied that the above employment will not put public confidence in the administration of justice and the provision of legal services or the interests of clients at risk.
