Decision details
Habibur Choudhury's practising certificate for 2024/2025 is subject to the following interim condition:
- that Mr Choudhury cannot operate as a Compliance Officer for Legal Practice ('COLP').
In these conditions the term 'COLP' is as defined in the SRA Glossary.
The Adjudicator also decided that the decision shall be published.
Reasons/basis
Serious allegations relating to the ongoing conduct of Mr Choudhury since the date of the previous SRA adjudication decision in relation to the Firm dated 19 October 2022 are being investigated and a decision was made by an ADM on 29 April 2025 that those allegations should be referred to the Tribunal for determination.
The above interim condition is made under rule 3.2 of the SRA Regulatory and Disciplinary Procedure Rules, which states that at any stage an authorised decision maker may, pending a final decision by the SRA or the Solicitors Disciplinary Tribunal, impose interim conditions on the practising certificate of a solicitor.
We are satisfied that these conditions are necessary in the public interest or for the protection of the public.
