Reasons/basis
Hannah Louise Jones, who is not a solicitor, was employed as a paralegal by Proximo Legal Services Limited at Rotary House, Chantry Court, Sovereign Way, Chester CH1 4QN between 7 November 2016 and 28 February 2019 when she was dismissed.
It was found that Miss Jones:
- Between November 2017 and November 2108 provided misleading and inaccurate information to clients regarding the progress of their personal injury claims. The above conduct breached principles 2 and 6 of the SRA Principles 2011.
- A finding of dishonesty was made against Miss Jones and she was made subject to a disqualification order pursuant to section 99 of the Legal Services Act 2007. This order prevents her from holding any of the following roles in a licensed body:
- Head of Legal Practice.
- Head of Finance and Administration.
- A manager
- An employee.
She was also directed to pay costs of £600
